Seal Script Scroll · Beijing Autumn
A seal-script scroll written in the autumn of 2023 (guimao year), signed “written by Gao Xinuo in Beijing” — tall characters on a brocade-mounted hanging scroll.

Studio notes
Two tall columns of small seal script carry the whole piece. The characters stand narrow and even, breathing down the scroll from top to bottom.
The brocade mounting gives the ink a dark, quiet frame; against it every stroke has to be placed, not just written.
This scroll was written to be hung — first read aloud at a campus event, later shown on the exhibition wall.
Seal script is architecture: build the column, then let it breathe.
